Pisco y Nazca (***)
1823 L St. NW, Washington, DC 20036
The next time that you are in our nation’s capital, I highly recommend dropping by this wonderful restaurant. First, the food was AAAAMMMMAAAAZZZZIIIINNNNGGGG. Second, the service was on point! To be honest, for the few days that we were in DC, we did not have a bad meal.
The hubby and I went with the $55 tasting menu. Now, I’ve had plenty tasting menus in the past, but I would find myself longing for more food. Kind of the situation of eating one meal at a restaurant then having to stop and get a slice of pizza or chicken nuggets on the way home. This was not the case at Pisco y Nazca. For the $55 tasting menu we received a flight of pisco sours, a causa sampler, a ceviche sampler, a choice of an entree (lomo saltado, a fried fish dish, or a shrimp fried rice dish), AND a dessert. Jesus, there was so much food (and drink) that we had to ask the restaurant to box up the entrees and desserts.

I absolutely love authentic Peruvian food! I’ll definitely have to keep this place in mind.
