-My heart goes out to the victims and their family members of this week’s elementary school shooting in Texas.

-I don’t know how we are going to do it, but we need to break this cycle of gun violence in the States. Unfortunately, I think we are getting to the point where we are becoming desensitized to mass shootings.

-I finally got out for a real run, and it felt great. While I have a lot of work to do, it was nice to somewhat return to normal after dealing with being sick for a bit.

-The next step is to plan out a running and workout schedule so I can get back into my groove.
-I am so glad that the Spring semester is over. I probably will make a more extensive post about a couple of my issues in higher education. After this semester, I have to say that a level of student accountability mostly has disappeared. I’m making this random thought because I had a student who was upset with their grade because they did not submit over 10 assignments during the semester. Rather than taking responsibility and accepting the grade, the student blamed me saying that I did not verbally announce the assignments in class (keep in mind that the student missed several classes anyway). Every week, I announced these assignments through Blackboard (our college’s learning management system), and these announcements are sent to the students’ email accounts. It’s not my fault that this “kid” did not read or chose to ignore their emails.
-They broke me. Then again, I do not need much encouragement to have a beer or five. 😉

-Does anyone remember this candy?

-Clearly, I’m in the wrong industry. I wanna make money off of my man boob sweat.

In case you are wondering who this person is. She was a cast member on 90 Day Fiance, one of my guilty pleasures, which is a reality TV show that follows couples going through the K1 (fiance) visa process. Actually, I think she was on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, which follows US citizens who go to other countries before starting the K1 visa process. Earlier this year, she was selling her farts in jars, but this activity lead to a health issue. A link to an article describing her fart journey: 90 Day Fiancé‘s Stephanie Matto Retiring From “Fart Jar Business” After Hospitalization
-This meme perfectly describes me 😉

Question(s) for the Day?
-What are your plans for Memorial Day Weekend?
-What are your random thoughts?
-What do you think about this Pepsi-infused pepperoni pizza?
Social Media Plug:

Nice randomness today! No to the pizza, what??? to the saleswoman, and no memorial day here but we do get a two-day Jubilee Holiday whoopee (said sourly as I almost never get bank holidays off, let along weirdy Thu-Fri ones!).

LOL. After posting the “Pepsi Pizza”, I remember that some folks make/use a cola-based glaze on their Thanksgiving turkies. I guess carmelizing soda gives the meat a more flavorful taste (at least that’s what they say). I’m not sure how that is different from using a glaze that is made with regular sugar and/or honey.
Hope all is well with you.

Negative on the pizza. I’m not a soda drinker anyway. But, pizza itself – YES!

I don’t drink much soda these days, but I’m a Coke girl.

When I drink soda (very rare), I’m team Diet Coke or Coke Zero. As a matter of fact, I might have one with my lunch today.
