Random Thoughts Thursday

-Happy Holy Thursday to my Christian folks. Also, Happy April Fools Day.

-I finally bought a new pair of running shoes this week. Since Jack Rabbit did not have an ample selection of New Balance shoes for my wide a** feet, I had to switch brands and go with a pair from Brooks. It’s kind of weird because I have been running New Balance shoes (not the same pair) for the past 10 years.

-I think that I’m going to need a chaperone when ordering booze from Drizly. The other night, this peanut butter-flavored whiskey disaster happened, and it’s pretty gross. No offense to the peanut butter-flavored whiskey lovers out there. I guess that I can use for cooking and/or baking. I could toss a few shots of it into my chocolate chip cookie batter or my West African peanut stew.

-I might be in the minority, but I’m kinda fear that things are opening up too fast. I kinda feel that maybe we should remain in quarantine mode until the end of the summer . . . at least.

-I wonder if there is a plan for this year’s TCS NYC Marathon.

-NYCRuns has a Queens 5K race that I’m tempted to register for. However, the race is in Flushing Meadows, which is so damn far from Harlem. Well . . . it’s not that far, but it sure feels far when you have to be deep in Queens by 8 AM.

-What’s the point of flaming drinks? I do not want to wait 2-3 minutes to drink my whiskey. Next time, I’m going to order this WITHOUT fire.

-Ack, I’ve run out of regular 90 Day Fiancé episodes that are available on Hulu. To be perfectly honest, I did fast forward through a lot of season 7’s episodes. Now, I gotta figure out which one of the 90 million spinoffs should I watch next. I’m thinking of starting 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. In this spin off, the American fiances move abroad to be with their boos.

Enough randomness for the day.

  1. Brooks Ghost? Those have been my go to shoes for years but I recently got a pair of New Balance 880s that are working better for my feet for runs over 12 miles.

I kind of think things have opened sooner than they should too… Cases are rising in my state and county and I’m grateful to be vaccinated.
