Question edition.
I’m thinking of a quick summer getaway, where should I go? Unfortunately, the hubby can’t leave the US. Maybe another Philly trip? T
Which NYRR races should I register for? I still need to register for 5 more races.
Why can’t I bring myself to run with one of my running groups?
How/when did I gain so much weight? 😉 A couple of my suits are kind of tight.
(Not a question) I’m really excited to run my first race since March. It feels like it has been such a long time since the NYC Half.
Is this summer going to be super hot?
I’m becoming bored with gin, what should be my new go to liquor? Tequila?
Where have I been? Trail running is kinda fun.
It sounds like maybe you should leave the running group if you’re not into running with them. The summers are always super hot. Bourbon. Trail running is awesome and is even better when it’s hot out because you get some shade from the trees.

I keep saying that I’ll run with the but something keeps me at work, or I just don’t feel like running when I get home. Both groups meet in the evening. I guess that I should have factored that in when I paid the membership fees.

Jason and I enjoyed a short trip to DC the other summer. We stayed at the Hotel Harrington (very old hotel, no fancy amenities but had a class to it and was very reasonable for the location) and visited a bunch of the Smithsonian museums.
Do you not like meeting new people? I think I’d be intimidated to join a running group without taking a friend along. Luckily my running group is my dad and guys I’ve known for years.
I second the bourbon suggestion.
I only like trails that don’t involve complexity like huge rocks because I’m clumsy and roll ankles easily.

I love DC. I did not realize how fun it is until my mid 20s. Back in grade/middle/high school, we had field trips to DC every year (I think that’s in the state consitution of Virginia) so I really associated DC with school. During my junior year in high school, I went visited DC three times on field trips (U.S. History, Latin, and Religion).
I can be pretty chatty in new situations (especially when booze is involved) However, it more difficulty when folks have known each other for such a long time.
Maybe I’ll start a running group . . . except none of my friends like to run. 😉
