Tapering week was going well for the most part; Sunday was supposed to be my last tapering run. However, I wanted to celebrate finishing up a manuscript, so I decided to grab a drink or 9 with a friend. Long story short, I managed to sprain my ankle. *Not feeling pain until the next day is one good thing about being drunk.*
The ankle doesn’t hurt that bad; hopefully, it will feel better by Wednesday for my last run before the half on Sunday.
One good thing about a slight injury is that you can allow your body to rest and rejuvenat itself; plus you can focus on other things, like nutrition and race logistics.
